Former NFL Star Junior Seau Found Dead at 43: Another Tragic Death

The investigation into the death of former NFL Linebacker Junior Seau is still very early. I just found out about it a couple of hours ago. But the fact that they are already considering suicide as a possibility. Tells me that there's more to know about Junior Seau, then we already did. Sorta like former Baltimore Orioles Pitcher Mike Flannagan dying last summer. Someone who seemed to be a very happy man, who was very charming and had a great sense of humor. Who was a very successful MLB Pitcher, as well as an MLB Analyst. Who was very popular, there seems to be more about these people. Who die way too early in life. In Mike Flannagan's case, who was sixty years old when he died. Still a Middle Age man, Whitney Houston dying at forty eight, Jumior Seau dying at forty three. The problems with Whitney Houston, have been well known for at least ten years before she died. But with Mike Flannagan and Junior Seau, these deaths come as complete shocks to most of the country. Who knew who these people were, perhaps close friends and relatives have other info. But to everyone else this is very shocking.

Just to talk about Junior Seau as a football player, where I'm most familiar about him. Your talking about the best Linebacker, inside or outside of the 1990s. He took that spot from Lawrence Taylor, when LT got older and was battling injuries. Ray Lewis was drafted in 1996 but its the last decade where he emerged as the best LB on his day. Junior was 6'3, 250 pounds or so and could run like a horse. And hit like a tank, covered ground so gracefully, there didn't seem to be a tackle or play on the field. That was out of his reach from making, he played for some very good defensive teams with the San Diego Chargers. But he was they're Leader, the Captain, the best player on the team. The guy who could and did show the Chargers to Promise Land. Leading them to become AFC Champions in 1994, still the Chargers only AFC Championship. Since the NFL-AFL Merger in 1970, the Chargers won some AFL Championships as well.

The death of Junior Seau is a tragedy and a Damn Shame, something that should've never of happened. Especially if it was a suicide and just reenforces that we have to stay in touch with our friends and relatives. To have as good of an idea of where they are mentally in life. And how they feel about things, because what we see on the outside. Is not always the picture on the inside and we need to stay in touch to avoid tragedies like this in the future.
